Jamie Sechrist | Executive Director
Jamie Sechrist is the Executive Director of the Gila Community Foundation. With a strong commitment to community development and philanthropy, Jamie is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the region through various initiatives and partnerships.
With a passion for education and a strong commitment to giving back to the community, Jamie has dedicated her career to helping others. She has extensive experience in fundraising and marketing, working tirelessly to secure funding for various educational programs and initiatives, including scholarships, teacher training, and literacy programs.
Jamie’s dedication to education and community service is evident in all that she does. She has also been involved with a number of other non-profit organizations throughout her career. Prior to her work in the non-profit sector, Jamie worked in accounting and public relations for several large corporations and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
Lara Leavitt | Assistant to the Executive Director
Lara Leavitt is the Assistant to the Executive Director of the Gila Community Foundation. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from California College of Arts and has operated a fine art printing business, along with her husband, for the past 20 years. She is a highly motivated and energetic worker with excellent communication skills, sales experience and customer relations abilities.
Lara finds herself in the unique position of having the opportunity to use the financial management, personnel, and customer relation skills that she has developed from running a business towards embarking on a new career path in the nonprofit world. She strongly appreciates and believes in the mission of the Gila Community Foundation, and strives to bring a fresh perspective and excitement to her role. Her creative approach and good problem-solving aptitude makes her a valuable addition to the Gila Community Foundation team.
